IE 2030

The Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California (CRIISC) is one of over 20 partner organizations and leaders across Inland Southern California that made up IE 2030. The group’s goals were simple, yet powerful:

  1. Create an inspiring vision for success for our region and all its people,
  2. Address major issues affecting our communities, including ensuring community health and public safety, meaningful work and wealth, affordable housing, reliable transportation, lifelong learning, and a thriving natural world, and
  3. Create a roadmap for achievements for 2030 and beyond, with changes in policies and a package of coordinated investments that bring millions of dollars to our communities, and have lasting impact.

Importantly, the I.E. 2030 group’s work is grounded in core values of resilience, inclusion, sustainability, and equity.

 What is IE 2030?

IE 2030 began as a project aimed at transforming the Inland Empire region with sustainability and equity at its core. It has since evolved into a dynamic, adaptable methodology that any organization can use to envision and actualize their future goals. This approach is about adapting and evolving strategies to fit unique organizational visions.

IE 2030 is more than a project; it’s a flexible, evolving approach that organizations can personalize for their strategic planning. Its holistic, community-centered, equity-focused, and sustainable framework makes it an ideal self-service model for guiding organizations toward impactful futures.

What is the I.E. 2030 Toolkit?

The toolkit is a collection of ideas and actions, crafted to help community organizations tackle challenges in community development, engagement, and change. It is a collection of strategies, exercises, and approves to empower community organizations. It is essential to help refresh local organizations’ approaches, connect more deeply with communities, and drive lasting change.

What is the role of the Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California?

The Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California (CRIISC) was one of over 20 local organizations that partnered together on the project. Sabrina Gonzalez, Executive Director of the Civil Rights Institute was on the IE 2030 Design Committee.

As part of CRIISC’s mission to inspire people of all ages through lifting up the historic and ongoing civil rights tores of the region, fostering community advocacy and building the champions of tomorrow, CRIISC is committed to archiving the IE 2030 project.

On our website and through our online archive we host the IE 2030 Vision and Roadmap project toolkit to provide a self-service approach to support the evolution and vision for our region.

What is Next?

Now that the Community Toolkit has been created, we look towards the over 20 partner organizations and many other organizations to use the toolkit to build and strengthen their organizations. Any organization is welcome to use the Toolkit.

The toolkit is more than a guide, it’s a reflection of our collective dream for a region that thrives on equality, sustainability, and resilience.

Together, we can build a future that mirrors the hopes and aspirations of every member of our community.
