A new exhibition, “Out in the I.E.,” is set to open at the Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California in Riverside.
The exhibition, a survey of the Inland Empire’s LGBTQ+ history, opens with an event 6-9 p.m. Jan. 15 at the institute, at 3933 Mission Inn Avenue, Suite 102. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and parking will be available in the Fox Theater parking lot.
“Out in the I.E.” builds on the Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California’s pop-up exhibition that opened in June 2024 and was envisioned by Jesse Melgar, a board member of the Inland Empire Community Foundation, according to a news release from the Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California.
